Informations: Gogol Bordello powraca do Polski! Dla tych, którzy dotąd nie mieli okazji dać się porwać ich muzyce na żywo nadchodzi okazja – już w czerwcu zespół zagra w Warszawie i we Wrocławiu! Skład tej formacji założonej w Nowym Jorku w późnych latach 90. jest równie niecodzienny, jak muzyka którą grają. Połączenie cygańskiego punk rocka, reggae, folku i orientu to mieszanka iście wybuchowa, szczególnie w wykonaniu tak niezwykłej ekipy. Zespół składa się z ośmiu imigrantów pochodzących głównie z Europy Wschodniej, ale także z odleglejszych zakątków świata, jak Izrael, Etiopia, czy Ekwador. Na czele tej etnicznej składanki stoi pochodzący z Ukrainy Eugene Hütz, który wraz z rodziną wyemigrował do Stanów Zjednoczonych po awarii reaktora w Czarnobylu. Podróż przez Polskę, w której mieszkali przez jakiś czas, pozostawiła w sercu Eugene’a wyjątkowy sentyment do naszego kraju. Ten okres z życia muzyka sprawia, że chętnie odwiedza on Polskę, za każdym razem nawiązując z publicznością bliski kontakt i umacniając więź ze swoimi fanami. W czasie pamiętnego koncertu w Klubie Stodoła dwa lata temu, Eugene wystąpił w koszulce z wizerunkiem Bolka i Lolka – na znak sympatii do naszych rodaków. Gogol Bordello zagości w tym roku w warszawskim Klubie Stodoła (18.06) i wrocławskim Klubie Eter (19.06). Informations: De hardrock-veteranen van Whitesnake komen terug naar Nederland. De groep staat vanavond voor een exclusieve Nederlandse show op de planken. De Britse band vermengt de van oorsprong hardrock muziekstijl met de nodige metal. De afgelopen dertig jaar leverde de band geweldige muziek en spectaculaire shows. De Britse rockband Whitesnake werd in 1977 opgericht door de in 1949 geboren David Coverdale, die net uit de hardrockgroep Deep Purple was gestapt. Met Deep Purple brengt Coverdale drie albums uit. Na het derde album 'Come Taste The Band' valt Deep Purple volledig uit elkaar. Samen met gitarist Mick Moody en andere gastmuzikanten maakt Coverdale het in 1977 op het Vogue-label verschenen debuut ‘Whitesnake’. Naast David Coverdale spelen tegenwoordig meerdere topmuzikanten in de band. Zo maken Doug Aldrich (o.a. Burning Rain), Reb Beach op gitaar (o.a. Alice Cooper), bassist Michael Devin (o.a. Lynch Mob), Brian Ruedy (o.a. Bryan Adams) op keyboard en drummer Brian Tichy ( o.a. Ozzy Osborn) tegenwoordig deel uit van de band.
