About this Album:

The album is all around nothing less than brilliant. Like their other albums it holds that creepy like lyrics twisted melody far out ideas and great song titles. The first single on this album is "Vicarious" and this song alone is nothing less than amazing. The sound, the message... it's something u can always expect from TOOL and a great pening song to the album which is then followed by "Jambi", which is another great song. (To me this album seems heavier in the melody but hey suits me). Then followed by "Wings For Marie (Part 1)" and after that it's sibling 10,000 Days (Part 2) to me i think the two best songs on the album. Just because like their other songs it has that long time and great melody calming and nice lyrics and after these two epic the rest of the album is as followed:The Pot Lipan Conjuring Lost Keys(Blame Hoffman) Rosetta Stoned Intension Right In Two Viginti Tresin my eyes this is another great piece of TOOLs growing master piece and if ur just starting to get inot to TOOL this would be a good album to look at.

Where do you start if you're a Tool fan? Well a good idea would be the opening 4 bars of 'Vicarious'. Great guitar riff that builds into a near overwhelming crescendo until crashing into into the sonic oxymoron that Tool songs are known and loved for.
As a long time Tool fan I say this as the perfect Tool album, a little of the old 'rawk' they were so good, but with plenty of the original and journey like sequences they seemed to perfect on Lateralus. The two stand out tracks for me are 'Vicarious' and 'The Pot' with the latter taking it's place at the apex of my favourite Tool songs of all time.
The only negative thing I will say about the album is that there are too few tracks, and at times a little too much self indulgence, as is evident on Viginti Tres, but then again without these traits, they wouldn't be Tool!

This album shows the musical and lyrical brilliance that still resides in the genious musicians that make TOOL. Simply put you're a fool not to buy this album. Creepy but profound lyrics draw you into the music.
