In dit lied is 'The Twelfth Of Never' de datum waarop de zanger zal stoppen met liefhebben, maar dat gebeurt nooit. Hij zal haar dus altijd liefhebben.

Dit zie je ook terug in het lied 'God Only Knows' van Brian Wilson, als hij zingt 'I may not always love you' gevolgd door 'You never need to doubt it'.
